The Concept Behind Poster Design and OANA’s Slogan

Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies AKA “OANA” established in 1961 in order to balance the one-way flow of information in the Asia-Pacific region. The Assembly of the Asia-Pacific News Agency is held every three years in one of its member countries. This forum was held in 2017 hosted by Iran (IRNA news agency). Oana owns two-thirds of information circulation. OANA member countries have 56% of the world’s gross product, about 50% of world trade, more than 60% of the water territory and more than 25% of the air transport volume. The design of the poster and slogan of this assembly was done by Alef Design Agency in 2017.

The concept of poster design and slogan design for this organization is borrowed from its nature.

The concept behind the formation of this organization is to stand in front of the western news flow. Meanwhile, two-thirds of the world’s news is coming from east.

The concept of this course is sunrise from east and project items have been designed accordingly. The slogan from this OANA’s assembly was “The sun rises every day from east” and the idea had developed from it. Meanwhile the assembly’s poster shows the sunrise moment as it mentions the OANA’s identity.
